Assessment description
In groups of no more than 3, you are required to develop a project plan using the
information from the scenario provided.
Using the templates provided, develop a project plan that includes timelines, work
breakdown structure, roles and responsibilities. A budget is to be developed and approved.
Team members are to be consulted and their views taken into account in the project plan.
The plan is to be finalised and the necessary approvals obtained to commence the project
according to your plan.
You are to take action to ensure project team members are clear about their responsibilities
and the project requirements, providing them with support, to ensure that the quality of the
expected project outcomes are documented and timelines met.
You are to implement and monitor plans for managing the project, its finances, quality and
resources (human, physical and technical) to achieve project deliverables.
You are to establish and maintain a record keeping system for the project documentation
and provide weekly project reports to your assessor. You will need to keep complete
financial records associated with the project and check their accuracy.
Finally, with your team members, review the project outcomes and processes against the
scope and plan. Document lessons learnt from the project and provide a report to your
assessor, attaching all documentation produced in this process as an appendix to your
report.

Scenario
You are a Manager for a large corporate catering company called ‘Bizzy Bites’. Your
organisation provides catering for all corporate events such as meetings, seminars, award
evenings all over Sydney. You have received a request to cater for 100 guests at a charity
Gala Dinner that will be held on a boat. The guest come from culturally diverse background
and you have been asked to cater for guest that have specific dietary requirements. The
charity event happens to fall on the same day as 2 other corporate catering jobs you have
already committed to, however you and your team have decided to take on the job. A
